Pembrokeshire – Wet in West Wales
West Wales & the Pembrokeshire coast offers some of the best diving in the UK - our dive report from a trip in 2009 makes interesting reading (and not just for the diving!), hopefully things will run a little smoother this time! For info the report is here & there's another here So it's about time we went back! Current plan is to taking the RHIB and dive some of the local sites over the early May Bank Holiday weekend Accomodation…
Find out more »Plymouth – Plunge
Our second weekend of the year down in Plymouth. Current plans are looking at a long weekend of diving in the area likely hitting the usual spots but depending on weather, suggestions & enthusiasm there will also hopefully be the opportunity to try a few places we haven’t dived before or others we’ve neglected over the years so suggestions are welcome! Accomodation will either be camping or in the Mountbatten centre so we’ll need to sort out numbers fairly soon.…
Find out more »Brixham – Bretagne
This year is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Bretagne, a ship owned by the club and so we're looking to celebrate the anniversary (if not the event itself!). The actual date is the 10th of August and our current plan is to lay a dive trail to educate divers on the ship & the event. In preparation we are planning a week down in the area to create the trail and also while we're there to take…

Find out more »South Gloucestershire Show (proposed)
We attended the South Gloucestershire Show (SGS) for the first time last year & I'm sure it was a surprise to many to not only see a SCUBA club among the cars & animals but one offering 'try dips' on-site! Not to mention a club member wandering the site in full SCUBA gear in the sunshine. We're considering attending again this year along with one of our RHIBs & a whole host of other diving related paraphernalia to spread the…
Find out more »Bretagne 100th
A diving weekend to mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the club wreck, the Bretagne. If all goes well we will have been down earlier in the year to lay a dive trail at the site (see here) and so this should all just go like clockwork 😉 Actual activities are still under development so it's more news as we get it Please let me know if you are interested in coming down Cheers Chris L
Find out more »Porthkerris – The Return!
A group of us went down to Porthkerris last year & were so impressed with the efficiency of the organisation responsible for the shuttle ( Porthkerris Divers) that we vowed to return & so here is proof we meant it! Plan is to stay locally (camping or B&B) & then use Porthkerris Divers to provide the shuttle service to the local dive sites (most are within 10 minutes or so) Here's a link to last years' excursion to provide a…

I am gathering info for a potential 10 day trip to the Seychelles; why the Seychelles? Good question. This website might give you some help. www.travelweekly.co.uk/articles/30465/indian-ocean-heavyweights-maldives-vs-seychelles I am mostly looking at the main island Mahe and although the Seychelles have a reputation for being expensive, I have found various places that are not ridiculous.www.en.seyvillas.com/34/guesthouse-lemongrass-lodge More information about the Seychelles can be found on en.seyvillas.com/guide Description of the diving can be found at: www.diveadvisor.com/seychelles and also at https://www.seychellesbookings.com/mahe-diving Obviously at this stage, no commitment…

Find out more »Scapa 100 [proposed]
I have asked Emily (Scapa) what availability there is for 2019 - one needs to book up 2 years in advance so the actual dates could be anytime. Some will no doubt feel we are Scappered out but after the 2016 trip i realise myself that there is still a lot to find out and the new boat is just about the best UK dive boat available now. More details to follow
Find out more »Kinlochbervie – Scottish SCUBA!
All, Following on from my previous mail I have provisionally booked a hard boat out of Kinlochbervie for 6 days diving. Kinlochbervie is located on the western coast or Scotland, a few miles south of Cape Wrath. It is a little remote but it’s still used as a fishing port. And has a large health center, Helipad etc. There’s a very well stocked spar shop in the village, pub, and a reportedly lovely restaurant a few miles out of town. Tesco…
