If the following feels familiar it’s because it’s the same as last year (hopefully not exactly the same & we’ll get to the UB74)

Our regular Winter Warmer continues in its’ new home of Portland as follows:-

This one has a theme: submarines!  I have to admit my first thought of diving a submarine back before I knew better was how boring – a sleek torpedo-shaped thing with little surface interest but that was before a couple of dives on the M2 & another on a U-boat in Ireland & I learned that they’re as interesting as any regular wreck.

So we’ll be diving one sub each day, the M2 (which a few of you will have done before) and then a German U-boat (UB74) as follows:-

• Saturday November 14th: M2 submarine (34m max) + 2nd dive, ropes off 10:40
• Sunday November 15th: UB74 sumarine (35m max) + 2nd dive, ropes off 11:30

We’ll be on Waverider (a very nice boat with an excellent skipper) out of Portland with Jurassic Aqua Sports ( https://jurassicaquasports.co.uk/diving ) with plenty of hot drinks & between dives hot pasties

The plan is to stay Saturday night at the Portland Outdoor Centre ( https://portlandoutdoor.co.uk/bunkhouse-accommodation ) opposite the Aqua Hotel & above the Dorset Adventure Cafe (who serve a superb breakfast!) – we did 4 to a room last year for £35 each including the aforementioned superb breakfast (£12 if you don’t stay there)

We’ll look to go for a meal Saturday night at the Cove House Inn.

I already have commitments from 6 members – I think there may be 2 spaces left

If you’re interested & want to secure your space I need 50% deposit (£80) with the balance to be paid a few weeks before.
