Sunday diving went well: glorious sunshine glimmering off Cromhall’s glass like surface, with the birds singing a chorus of welcome….ok I am over doing it! It was though a glorious day, with the sun shining for a change. Despite the 6 degree temperatures Sue and I managed two dives of around 50 and 45 minutes to a max depth of 16.8m,
Though not worth travelling to the coast, it is good that the club supported a two day weekend of diving in February – thanks Tim for starting this off – Chris H

Saturday 15th February, 2014 : Cromhall – Fun (Tim, Geoff, Cyril, Ian Con)

When you next visit Cromhall look out for the ‘latest new attractions’. Geoff and I installed a toilet and cistern in the phone box at the deep end. It was a great exercise in logistics and teamwork to float it out into position, sink it in a controlled manner (a Controlled Buoyant Drop) and secure it in position. Meanwhile Cyril and Ian C increased and re-organised the gnome population at the shallow end.
It is very encouraging and a good sign of a healthy club that as many as 8 members were up for a winter dive in February; especially so in light of the extreme and particularly foul weather we have had lately. Look out for the next one – Tim
