Just (literally!) back from Porthkerris 2023 & there’s no time like the present so here’s next years’ proposal!

We’ve been going down to Porthkerris for many a year, initially using the club RHIBs & over the last 7-8 years using the incredibly efficient shuttle facilities of Porthkerris Divers ( https://porthkerris.com/ )

We’ve had some bad luck over the last few years with the weather but this year the weather gods smiled on us so I’m hoping it’s the start of something!

I’m again looking at 3 days of diving but with a slight twist as booking (& filling) a boat for 3 days is a) expensive & b) sometimes we don’t have the numbers.

This year we did the Celtic Kitten (the small shuttle) 2 days but missed out on the Cat (the day boat) due to numbers

The 2024 proposal is Saturday Kitten, Sunday Cat, Monday Drawna Rocks shore dive (this year like last was lovely!)

This gives us what I think is the best of all worlds & not at great expense or negotiations with partners about being away all day!

Current Costs are

• Celtic Kitten for one day (2 dives) is £65
• Celtic Cat for one day (2 dives) is £80 (the boat stays out)
• Shore Dive (1 dive (or more) is £1 (you essentially pay for parking)

Total Diving cost (3 days) is £146 plus gas (Singles: £6 air, £12 nitrox (32%))

Accommodation-wise We’ll be going back to Little Trevothan Caravan & Camping park https://www.littletrevothan.co.uk/ (where we went the last few years) with your choice of camping (~£22pn non-electric, ~£27pn electric) or caravan.

We’ll book a table at a local hostelry for Saturday/Sunday night & leave the rest up to you.

If you are interested can you let me know ASAP & I’ll let Porthkerris Divers know & you’ll need to pay a deposit (50%: £73) – I’m happy to collect this & pay direct (& those that missed the boat dive this year you have £65 already towards next year). I’ll probably be looking for the deposit in the next week or so once I get how much interest there is & can pencil in with Porthkerris Divers

The balance is payable 8 weeks before the trip, if you cancel more than 14 days before the trip your deposit is transferable within the same year (the balance is refundable)

If you cancel less than 14 days before the trip there are no refunds (suggest you find a replacement)
