Rescue Scenarios & Diving – Cromhall
4th September 2016
This Sunday we are running a ‘rescue scenario’ training event and although it is primarily targeted at getting Kevins’ Dive Leader qualifications completed, it is also an excellent and rare opportunity for us all to brush up on and practice our rescue skills; so if you can possibly make it please do try to come along, even if only to spectate.
The agenda is roughly as follows:
08:30 Kevin, Abhi, Chris H and Tim to arrive at Cromhall to launch and moor the Alpha RIB.
09:00 Kevin (trainee), Abhi (casualty) and Tim (instructor) to conduct DO7 (CBL, tow etc)
11:00 Commence Rescue Scenarios (DO5)
13:00 General diving/training for those who would like to
If you would like to assist with the rescue scenarios please let me know and aim to arrive and check in at around 10:30. It is important you let me know which of the following roles you are in:
A) Surface support/spectator only (i.e. not getting wet) – no charge.
B) Happy to get wet, but NOT wishing to dive afterwards. – pay £5.00 and check-in as a swimmer
C) Happy to get wet and wishing to dive afterwards – pay £14.00 and check-in as a diver
If you are in Role A, please bring spare clothes in case you accidentally fall in or otherwise get wet. Also bring a coat in case it rains.
If you are in Role B, please bring your wet or dry suit, BC, masks, fins and snorkel.
If you are in Role C, please bring your full dive kit and if you need air, arrive a little earlier to allow time to get some. If you would like some training, please let me know what and we will see if it is possible to do this for you (no promises).
Once you have confirmed you are attending and in what role, I will send you some further instructions.
Any questions? Please call or email.
