It looks as though there’s enough interest in heading out on a dark January evening to the comforts of a friendly welcoming pub for a few rounds of skittles.

The rough plan is to arrive at The Swan in Thornbury around 7pm, play a round or two of skittles and then have some dinner about 7.45. The pub offers basket meals, such as cod bites, spicy chicken goujons, chicken nuggets, fish fingers, locally sourced sausages, scampi, cheese filled spicy jalapenos or curry sauce with chips for £5.50 which we can just order on the night.

Regarding parking, Sue has said the the car park across the road from the Aldi entrance is ok to use – it’s the big car park with the two hour and all-day parking places. You should also be able to park on the High Street after 6pm. Best not to use the Aldi car park as Sue’s been caught out there before!
